My Background and Approach
My experience as an internal medicine adult nurse practitioner working in safety net and community clinics informs my approach as a nonjudgmental, holistic psychiatric provider. I have 10+years of experience with expertise managing a broad range of acute and longstanding conditions. In addition to my outpatient work, I am a provider on an acute psychiatric unit at John Muir Health seeing patients struggling with depression, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia, as well as perinatal mood disorders and psychosis. I have special expertise working with adolescents and young adults, the LGTBQI community, and clients struggling with substance use. I have a strong background in harm reduction and Internal Family Systems practice. I partner with each client to work toward their goals using a biopsychosocial, evidence-based approach. While medication may be an integral tool, I employ a whole person approach toward achieving health and steadiness grounded in my client’s values and strengths.
