My Background and Approach
Letha is a registered Clinical Social Work Intern actively seeking licensure and is a Masters’ level CAP (Certified Addictions Professional). She is skilled in providing counseling services to a diverse cultural population including LGBTQIA+ individuals. By utilizing proven counseling approaches such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) skills, Narrative Therapy, Motivational Interviewing (MI), Relapse Prevention Counseling (RPC), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and CBT, I can work to reduce and many times eliminate symptoms of depression, anxiety, or trauma.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that everyone can change and grow at any time in their lives. I’m deeply committed to supporting the well-being of all my patients. I am an heart transplant recipient and though my own therapy, support groups, and attendance to a care giver support group, I learned how to handle my anxiety, depression and trauma and move past it so that it didn't have control over me. Together, we will explore ways to help improve life challenges and to reach your full potential.
