About My Clients
How are you...really? Maybe you can’t recall the last time someone genuinely asked, or perhaps the question caught you off guard, leaving you unsure of how to respond. Either way, lately, you haven’t been feeling like your usual self—as if you’re shedding old skin and evolving into a new version of yourself. If you find yourself nodding along to this, know that I am here to support you as you venture into uncharted territory.
My Background and Approach
As someone who values their identity as both bi-racial and non-binary, I deliver intersectional, affirming mental health care that embraces neurodiversity and caters to the unique experiences of individuals within the LGBTQIA+ community, as well as those facing grief, loss, trauma, chronic illness, depression, anxiety, or identity-related struggles. With a background in the criminal justice field spanning 15 years, I bring a deep understanding of the importance of social justice and mental health advocacy to my work as a therapist. My therapeutic approach blends self-compassion and mindfulness with various evidence-based therapies, such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Dialectal Behavioral Therapy (DBT).
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
During my spare time, I’m a homebody who delights in tending to my plants, writing creatively, getting engrossed in a good book, and playing retro video games. Though rare, I can be sometimes spotted in the wild, especially at a local coffee shop or tattoo parlor.
