Sometimes it can be difficult to find balance with all the demands of life. Often times that means we forget to take care of ourselves while we are so busy taking care of everyone else. Together we can work toward achieving your Best Self where you feel more balanced, mentally and physically. We will work to reduce your anxiety or negative thoughts about yourself so that you can have a positive self image and enjoy life in the here and now!
My Background and Approach
I work with clients to integrate movement and nutrition into traditional therapeutic practices. That doesn't mean I'm going to make you go to the gym 5 days a week or throw away all your favorite foods! What it means is that together, we will explore ways to increase participation in activities that you already enjoy, to get your body up and moving more throughout the day. This in turn will release chemicals in your brain that naturally help to improve mood. We will explore what foods you can enjoy more of that will compliment how you want your body to feel. While this is going on behind the scenes, we will also do the work of identifying triggers to anxiety, exploring coping skills, and challenging negative thoughts. This will allow your body and mind to work together to achieve the feeling of wellness and relief that you are looking for.
