About My Clients
Are you overwhelmed and having a hard time coping? Has your drug or alcohol use started to become more of a problem then an escape? You may no longer feel in control. Perhaps you have tried to stop using on your own. You may feel tired, anxious, and depressed. You are not your addiction. There is a better life for you. Therapy can help you figure out why you've started to rely on substances to cope. Let's work together to find new coping strategies so that you can live the life you desire.
My Background and Approach
For 10 years I have walked alongside individuals in their recovery journeys. I am a licensed mental health counselor and a registered art therapist. I have specialized training and experience working with individuals coping with addiction. I can consult on finding appropriate levels of care and connect clients with resources in Boston and the North Shore area. I have expertise working in the field of medication supported treatment, formerly referred to as medication assisted treatment (MAT). My approach is empathetic, non-judgmental, person-centered, and solution-focused. I careful attend to each client by drawing out their unique strengths so that we can co-create a plan of care that supports their goals.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
The therapeutic space that I provide is safe for all patients regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, sex, or socioeconomic status. This space is safe and also welcomes individuals who identify as LGBTQI.
