About My Clients
I'm a therapist because therapy saved my life. Through that lived experience, plus education and training, I help clients improve their communication (with themselves and others) and navigate issues related to trauma, gender identity, sexuality, ENM, dating, anxiety, and self-worth. My clients are thoughtful people who have done the best they can on their own and are looking for additional support. They seek to expand their perspective, to feel differently in the world, and want lasting change.
My Background and Approach
Together we can create that change, and I firmly believe in your inherent worth, power, and self-determination to facilitate the shift you are seeking. My approach to therapy is collaborative and relational so I tend to be engaged and curious in the therapeutic space, offering observations, asking questions, and sharing any noticeable patterns or connections. I'm an LGBTQ+ affirmative therapist with specialized training in exploring gender, sexuality, and internalized oppression through an intersectional and culturally sensitive lens. My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I aim to create an anti-oppressive, body liberation, neurodiversity, relational structure and identity affirming space. I acknowledge that as a white woman my anti-racist work is a lifelong practice and no matter my effort, white supremacy will always be present in the therapeutic space as it is ever-present in the systems we navigate.
