About My Clients
I provide therapy to adult clients who are struggling with grief, anxiety and/or depression. They may be at a major turning point in their lives, or experiencing a difficult work or relationship situation. Many of my clients are grieving a loss of a loved one, relationships, job or a beloved pet. My clients are interested in exploring their feelings and sorting out what's important to them.
My Background and Approach
As a Licensed therapist, I have spent years exploring what approaches and techniques work best for clients to achieve success and relief. As clients talk over concerns in session, I use family psychodynamics to explore reactions, (this applies to family structure and work dynamics also!) I also use cognitive behavioral therapy to explore core beliefs and self-talk, and other techniques such as problem mapping or grounding to assist in lessening stress.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Awareness leads to healing. Sometimes we can get into struggles or challenges that seem unresolvable at the time, but peeling aware layers of understanding can lead to a sense of freedom and having more choices than before. Individuals can grow and change at any age. Also, I endorse the Social Work code of ethics which affirms the "inherent worth and dignity of every human being," as being essential to communication and treatment.
