About My Clients
I promote compassion, honesty, and empowerment while working with clients who struggle with a range of issues, including anxiety, depression, and life transitions. I’m especially passionate about helping adolescents, young adults, and LGBTQ+ individuals struggling with mood, personality, and eating disorders. I'm also trained to treat and enthusiastic about working with clients with borderline personality disorder and bipolar disorder.
My Background and Approach
My experience includes providing low-cost therapy to individuals without insurance and facilitating mental health recovery support groups for adults in the Austin community. I'm trained in a variety of therapies, including DBT, CBT, ACT, Trauma-informed Care, and IFS. My therapeutic approach is person-centered and allows each individual to guide their own recovery process. I also incorporate aspects of mindfulness, Internal Family Systems Therapy, somatic healing, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to help clients find stability during times of great emotional turbulence. Ultimately, I strive to create a safe space for clients to explore even the thorniest areas of their mental health journey. Above all else, I’m focused on building a strong relationship with my clients, and I feel deeply privileged to be allowed into their lives. I make therapy a judgment-free zone where humor and warmth are a regular part of the process.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I'm queer, neurodivergent, and have a chronic illness, so I love helping people with similar backgrounds navigate life with these identities.
