About My Clients
I honor the survivor in you. I honor the victim and the hard experiences you've needed to endure. I believe that you're seeking to thrive and find peace. I have primarily collaborated with victims of interpersonal trauma, complex family systems, emotional neglect, anxiety and mood-disorders, and significant losses in their lives. I look forward to hearing more about your journey and collaborating for the benefit of your healing and thriving.
My Background and Approach
Life is complex and we can process it together. As a clinical social worker, my approach to mental health is rooted in unconditional positive regard for the client with a healing orientation. We identify your strengths, wounds, and the complexities of the systems you are a part of within a highly attuned, trauma-sensitive space. I see the therapeutic relationship as a space for undoing pain and welcoming your wisdom forward. Our therapeutic relationship is approached primarily through identifying and processing your life experience, body-based awareness, psychoeducation, and use of accelerated experiential dyadic psychotherapy (AEDP) with somatic, mindfulness techniques.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe I have some of the best co-workers a professional could ask for, both in the therapy room and consultation circles. This emotional work is challenging and demands significant attention from one another, and I trust it is worth it. I know that nature, movement, consent, and breath all support our healing which simultaneously is individual and collective. I also believe that the sensation of being alone is one of the least tolerable experiences. Co-regulation, work with the nervous system, feeling believed, and slowing down to accept our place in it all can create significant change. Personally, I go through extra effort to care for our environment, our autonomous human rights, my neighborhood, body and mind, my chosen family, and our beloved Minneapolis Mutt, Kahlo.
