Post Traumatic Stress Disorder is more common than most realize. Trauma can occur from both micro and macro aggressions and happen in any environment such as home, school, work, or even being out in public spaces. I have certification in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Art Therapy which can help aid in recovery of trauma through a healing process. It is never too late or early to work on traumatic events that have affected you. The door is open for healing.

Have you lost interest in activities you use to enjoy? Do you find it hard to find motivation to do things such as getting out of bed, connecting with others, or doing everyday tasks? Or are you able to accomplish everything that needs to be done on a day to day basis but feel intense sadness, numbness, or sudden negative thoughts you can't ignore? Depression manifests in many forms and symptoms. Together, we can build coping skills, symptom management, and necessary referrals.

Life transitions start from infancy and continue into end of life. We evolve throughout our lives and encounter limitless transitions such as job placements, schooling, moving households or separation of households, sexual exploration, increased responsibility, loss or grieving, the list is limitless. These transitions can be difficult. Through therapy we can work together to achieve things such as emotional regulation, coping skills, mindfulness, healthy relationships, and everyday life skills

There is no art experience needed to use art therapy. This approach serves as a unique experience in which traditional therapy meets creative expression. This approach is evidenced-based and appropriate for all ages. The common misconception about art therapy is that it is only for creative individuals who can hone in on specific emotions to create "masterpieces." Art therapy allows for expression and exploration of the self and emotions through directives specific to your therapeutic goals.

Narrative Therapy is an approach in which the client is the expert of their own story and aims to work on an interpersonal level to reframe and separate the problem from the individual. This approach allows clients to tell their own stories and gain coping skills through exploration. This approach works for all ages. This therapeutic approach works well with children and allows for exploration of life transitions, emotions, and behaviors without putting shame or guilt on the child.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy focuses on the connection between emotions, thoughts, and resulting behaviors. This approach is solution focused and aims to establish specific and measurable goals. This approach is used for all ages.

I am an ADHD Certified Clinical Services Provider and can provide services to help you understand and manage your ADHD symptoms. If you have a diagnosis we can work on strengthening skills needed to achieve your daily and therapeutic goals. If you do not have a diagnosis do not worry. We can work together on screening and understanding your possible ADHD better to create an appropriate treatment plan. Adults and later life diagnosis are becoming more common as we understand ADHD better.
