About My Clients
I often see transgender and gender-questioning individuals, current and previous sex workers, and people navigating kink and/or polyamory dynamics in their relationships. I work with people who have or are experiencing a range of mental health needs, from depression and anxiety, to navigating grief and complex trauma.
My Background and Approach
My therapeutic style is warm and conversational, holding space for both heaviness and levity in the therapy room. This coincides with my interest in neuropsychology – an ongoing curiosity about why we are the way we are and how our bodies and minds are connected. Some of the tools in my therapeutic toolbox are DBT and EMDR, which I incorporate with relational-oriented talk therapy.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My practice is grounded in social justice frameworks including anti-racism, queer liberation, and radical fat acceptance. I have done volunteer work to benefit sex workers and incarcerated LGBTQIA+ folks and I currently work extensively with other queer, transgender, and otherwise sexually marginalized people. I am committed to uplifting the voices of those who hold oppressed identities that I do not share - I will be forever learning how to better show up as an ally and advocate to these groups.
