About My Clients
I work with teens, young adults and adults and have extensive experience treating addiction issues, and working with the LGBTQIA+ community to treat various issues such as anxiety and depression.
My Background and Approach
I am a psychotherapist who graduated with a Masters of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University, and received clinical training at various community- based and residential treatment centers throughout Southern California. Grounded in a person-centered perspective, I truly believe that everyone is the true expert on themselves and when provided a safe space to explore, and nourish self-compassion and acceptance, self-actualization is possible.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that change and growth is possible. I think one of the main reasons we develop mental health issues is because we engage in learned unhealthy behaviors that we have picked up along the way as a means to "survive". Which means that I think you can unlearn the faulty behaviors and replace them with healthy ones. Since a child, I struggled with anxiety. Through my personal growth journey, I learned how to move through my anxiety so that it didn't have control over me and I want you to feel the same freedom that I experience every day. I love everything animals, art, and music and I am always open to learning something new. I make it a point to participate in marches and community actions that support the LGBTQ community and animals rights. If you want to learn more about how I can help, shoot me a message. I look forward to hearing from you!
