About My Clients
I work with clients from all walks of life who may have experienced trauma, anxiety, depression, disordered eating, or relationship difficulty. I provide a safe, welcoming therapeutic relationship where all identities are celebrated. My clients are able to learn skills and resources to increase their own autonomy so that they can feel resilient and balanced outside of our sessions. I believe each individual has the innate ability to heal, and I am just here to support you through that process.
My Background and Approach
I have been fascinated by psychology from a young age, and have always wanted to learn more about helping people. I graduated from Ohio State University with my Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and my Bachelor's Degree in Psychology. Since then, I have had experience with individuals, families, and groups working through anxiety, eating disorders, depression, trauma, and interpersonal relationship concerns. I use a holistic, trauma-informed, somatic-based approach with aspects of dialectical behavioral therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, attachment theory, and mindfulness to bring awareness of thoughts, behaviors, and emotions to my clients, and to create a more connected sense of self.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that we live within systems of oppression and feel called to help individuals heal the trauma and related symptoms caused by these systems. It is important to me to celebrate and support clients who identify as LGBTQ or BIPOC both in my sessions as a therapist and outside of sessions as an activist. I believe in body positivity, intersectional feminism, racial justice, and inclusion of all religions and identities.
