For 20 plus years I have been helping people change their way of thinking so that they can be encouraging to themselves rather than self-deprecating. We work on challenging thinking, developing and acknowledging positive attributes and understanding through use of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

For 20 plus years I have utilized Schema Therapy to help clients process their past trauma and develop a stronger sense of self and how to get unstuck from triggers. We will make connections to understand how our past continues to affect our present, while at the same time educating the client on healthy ways of moving forward and rebuilding a sense of self and moving from a victim to a survivor and thriver!

For 20 plus years I have utilized cognitive behavioral therapy to help clients manage their anxiety. What we think affects our feelings and our feelings affect our behaviors. CBT therapy helps to challenge thinking that contributes to anxiety and replace it with core affirming beliefs that bring strength. In addition, we will work on self-esteem in addition to calming tools to help with anxious moments. Education on anxiety will help take the fear out of anxiety.

Schema therapy is especially helpful for anyone that has experienced any kind of trauma in their life, whether it be from childhood or adulthood. Schema therapy helps identify the things from our past that continue to affect our present. Most importantly it then guides you on how to get out of these life traps and stop replicating past responses. I have a book that I walk clients through and many supplemental materials that address each life trap.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy can be effective in many areas. It helps you identify the negative thoughts you are having and how they contribute to negative emotions and then to negative responses/behaviors. I will assist you in identifying these mistaken beliefs and provide training in assertiveness and positive thinking.
