About My Clients
As a queer woman, a parent, and someone who is committed to expansive relationship structures, I find joy in supporting fellow queer and non-monogamous folks. I also provide adjunctive somatic therapy for people suffering from somaticized stress, anxiety, and grief, and for folks navigating chronic pain or illness. I work with individuals and people in a variety of relationship constellations who wish to foster increased connection. This includes couples, triads+, families, and friends.
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Somatic Experiencing Practitioner who is committed to supporting people in unwinding the stress, fear, and shame stuck in their nervous systems. Through an attuned therapeutic relationship, I integrate curiosity, movement, self-touch, and self-compassion to help clients listen to their embodied selves and work with their stress chemistry rather than against it. Relational, holistic, and anti-oppressive lenses guide my work as a somatic psychotherapist. This means that together, we will support your body, mind, and spirit within a larger cultural context that considers the impact of systemic and interpersonal factors. Through this process, I am invested in supporting my clients to cultivate ease and pleasure amidst life’s challenges.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Relational, holistic, and anti-oppressive lenses guide my work as a somatic psychotherapist. This means that together, we will support your body, mind, and spirit within a larger cultural context that considers the impact of systemic and interpersonal factors. Through this process, I am invested in supporting my clients to cultivate ease and pleasure amidst life’s challenges. I believe the cultivation of self-awareness and self-compassion leads to change. In my personal life, I aim to know myself intimately and accept myself unconditionally, and these aspirations guide me in my role as a therapist, witness, and fellow traveler. I experience the joy and wonder of the therapeutic relationship when I offer my full self in connection with yours. Given time and the development of trust, therapy can be a playful and creative space that allows you to discover your inner truths with more curiosity than fear.
