I have noticed that many people walk through life with amazing stories and carrying struggles that they are trying to process alone. Together, we can identify the challenges in your personal narrative, but also the strengths and virtues you have that has gotten you this far.
My Background and Approach
My goal as a therapist is to help people achieve their greatest level of self-awareness. I believe each person has a unique identity and story of how they relate to themselves and the world. Life constantly changes, so learning how to adapt and thrive under these conditions is apart of my goals. I like to emphasize the power of choice that we have in our relationships as well as personal responsibility and accountability. With that being said, I also take a humanistic approach to help people accept themselves, regain a sense of wholeness and remind them of their own personal instincts and wisdom to guide their choices.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I walk through life understanding the inherent power and privilege dynamics that exist in our society. I use my privilege to try and help those around me. I hold the egalitarian belief of equality for all and aim to dismantle corrupt and biased power structures through radical empathy. I am anti-discrimination and see every everyone holistically. I will accept you exactly as you are. Causes that are important to me include civil rights, racial inequality, intersectional feminism and animal rights. I challenge the status quo constantly and hope to help other people actualize and define their own reality.
