On paper, everything looks good. You have a good job, you’re in a relationship and you live somewhere great. You did all the things you were told would make you happy and for some reason, you are feeling off, disconnected or empty. You may be asking yourself, “what’s the point?" You are wanting more, but aren’t entirely sure what that is. You’re wanting to make a change and it’s the time do it. This has probably been the case for some time. Well, nothing changes if nothing changes.
My Background and Approach
Therapy is a tool for helping you discover and understand the ways your psychology are getting you closer or farther away from the person you want to be. First, you have to discover and discard some of the things holding you back. This can be painful. It’s also necessary. Then you can best utilize the attributes you possess to better live your best life. I have found it’s vital to look at depression, anxiety and addiction in a more nuanced view. It’s important to look at these things as symptoms and not the parts that make you up. These symptoms are a call from your psyche to make changes, address unresolved issues and to move towards the person you are meant to be.
