About My Clients
Trauma impacts every aspect of day-to-day life, but it does not have to rule you. Suppose you are looking to explore your trauma, develop coping skills, and work through the various symptoms that are associated with trauma (for example, depression and anxiety). You may also want a nonjudgmental, safe environment to engage in play, art, music, or other expressive means to work through your unique needs. In that case, we may be a great match for one another!
My Background and Approach
Specializing in trauma-informed and attachment-based therapy, I guide clients in identifying, processing, and healing trauma. My strength-based, humanistic, and holistic approach includes art, play, and somatic therapy to empower clients through their existing and new modes of expression. I also specialize in working with at-risk youth ages 5-20 facing suicidal ideation, self-injury, or aggression. I support those who have experienced homelessness, are in or have aged out of the foster system, or have faced psychiatric emergencies. Together, we can identify maladaptive thought and behavior patterns, enhance communication skills, develop coping strategies, and set achievable goals.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As an East Bay native, I’m committed to supporting my community. With a background in race, gender, and feminist theory, I focus on understanding and supporting the intersections of our identities. I create a nonjudgmental environment, particularly for queer-identifying BIPOC, to safely explore their multifaceted identities. Together, we can understand and embrace who we are and who we want to be. Reaching out to ask for help is not a sign of weakness. It is the first step in your healing journey and there is no shame in needing that additional support. Healing is an ongoing cycle that looks different for everyone. I would be honored to guide you in your healing process, no matter how difficult.
