About My Clients
I enjoy working with young adults, adults, and couples. For couples interested in pre-marital/pre-commitment work, I am certified as a Prepare/Enrich facilitator and can provide an assessment and feedback sessions. My areas of interest include anxiety, depression, relationship issues, life transitions, self-esteem, and trauma.
My Background and Approach
I utilize a variety of different approaches to therapy because one approach is not going to fit for each person. I view therapy as fluid and everchanging, and I value continued education and growth as a therapist. I enjoy using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy at times to help with challenging anxious thought patterns. I also incorporate an attachment lens and explore how our past affects our present. We will work together to develop goals for your therapy and ensure you are getting the best care you deserve.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that therapy can be beneficial for anyone at any age at any point in their life. We are constantly going through life changes and transitions, and our mental health is going to fluctuate. I view therapy as both an intervention and a preventative measure, and my goal is to help people build skills that can be utilized the rest of their life. As someone who has struggled with anxiety, I know what it's like to feel as if nothing will help reduce it. Therapy and medication management has helped me tremendously, and I want to help others feel that way too. I am open to seeing all types of clients of various backgrounds and am continuously learning and growing as a therapist.
