About My Clients
How would it be to experience a very real sense of transformation that lasts? What about being free from our conditioned history and repeating patterns? How would it be to bravely meet our own discomfort from a place of compassion rather than habitual avoidance? Living fully, according to our values is possible and I would like to offer some ideas and facilitate practice that might support this.
My Background and Approach
I have a wide range of experience supporting folks living with many different kinds of symptoms and challenges. My work is transpersonal, informed by various world wisdom traditions, as well as, western therapy frameworks like Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, The Hakomi Method, Internal Family Systems & Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction. I see the people I work with as the experts on their own lives and instead of offering advice or strategies to force symptoms into submission I encourage a process of turning inward, to ones own wisdom, clarity and strength.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
People are not problems to be solved. Very often, symptoms are actually messages from parts of us that need care. Everyone is basically good and deserving of respect, kindness and attention. Boundaries are important. Clients are responsible for creating the changes they want to see, I am just a support. I really like engaging in the process of therapy. There is usually no simple answer and no change without hard work and probably a decent amount of discomfort.
