About My Clients
My practice includes myself and five other therapists and nurse practitioners. In that collaboration, I see individuals, but am also the primary couples and family therapist. I love working on family dynamics, helping couples heal from addiction and helping parents develop healthier relationships with their teens and young adult children.
My Background and Approach
I am a licensed clinical social worker, educator, and researcher. You can see more about me on my website www.planyourrecovery.com
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that fulfillment in life (happiness) comes from actualizing our potentials as individuals. To do so, we have to carefully discern our priorities, make hard decisions, and invest in those things that help us live authentically, as creators, friends, partners, and parents. I am particularly interested in the way that life tends to result in the alienation of parts of ourselves that we must re-approach and integrate in midlife to find the peace and joy that we desire (in other words, our midlife crises). I am deeply interested in philosophy and literature and if you want someone who will probe the big questions with you, I may be a good companion in that work.
