About My Clients
Do you often seem to absorb other people's energy and emotions, or frequently feel overwhelmed by life? Do you try to avoid conflict, make yourself small, or struggle to assert yourself? Our work together can help you feel more grounded, whole, and in alignment with yourself, with better boundaries, more self-confidence, and more securely-attached relationships.
My Background and Approach
I utilize a relational, somatic, behavioral, and insight-oriented framework to address issues related to relationships, intimacy, family of origin, identity, loss & grief, abuse, sexual assault, & survivorship, life transitions, gender & sexuality, career, and discovering a sense of self and inner purpose. I am available to care for both complex and acute traumas, whether they be from intergenerational, interpersonal, or systemic sources. As a therapist, I bring a warm, non-judgmental, heart-centered presence to our work together. I'll invite you to slow down with me so that we can allow things to emerge that don't have the space to when we are busy or distracted. We will strengthen our knowledge about and connections to our nervous systems and our intuition, with the goal of increasing our embodiment, self-acceptance and self-compassion, insight and internal knowledge, and movement towards greater integration of all parts of our self.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am a queer, South Asian psychotherapist who may hold overlapping identities for folks who are highly sensitive, children of immigrants, women of color, and LGBTQQIP2SA+. In all of my clinical work, I prioritize an intersectional, liberatory, & trauma-informed lens, informed by my academic research background in race, class, gender, & the social determinants of health. Outside of my therapy practice, I love art, photography, dance, fashion, astrology, tarot, herbalism, writing, and podcasts about the myriad ways we heal. If these interests overlap with any of yours, you are welcome to bring them into our work together.
