About My Clients
I work with people of diverse backgrounds but primarily the 18+ age group and people who want to delve deeper into who they are, what makes them unique and what internal strengths they already have but maybe aren't utilizing just yet. Clients who want a collaborative and supportive approach and want to be met with compassion but want to work with a practitioner who understands that the client has the most innate knowledge into who they are and want to explore that further.
My Background and Approach
I provide support in a safe, calm space and want clients to feel heard and validated. Initially, I like to have the client speak openly and build rapport and trust in the therapeutic relationship, because ultimately that foundation needs to be set first. I like to check in frequently on my approach so that the client has the opportunity to give feedback and adjust sessions as needed to meet their needs.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that everyone has the right to be heard and supported. Prior to working in private practice, I worked in community-based mental health and crisis services and really worked towards meeting people where they were and giving them space to not feel as though I was another person expecting something from them. I believe that everyone has the right to personal autonomy regardless of background and I feel passionately about protecting the rights of the clients I work with.
