My Background and Approach
You don't need to feel embarrassed or ashamed for the experiences you've had. I create a safe space for you to talk about the things no one else knows you're dealing with. There is never any judgement or shame in the work we do. I know it can feel hopeless when we keep repeating the same patterns and we even start to believe there's something wrong with us. I want to explore the root causes of these patterns with you so we can figure out where they came from. Once we have understanding, we can work together to better challenge those patterns and make different choices. I work alongside you as we explore new experiences, choices, thoughts, and feelings. And I will also challenge you in a way that feels helpful and can get you unstuck. Your story, experience, and feelings are not too much. I have specialized in trauma-informed care for ten years and utilize a treatment approach that is uniquely tailored to you. We are partners in this work and you no longer have to suffer alone.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe every person has the potential for change. I have witnessed powerful healing and growth in my presence. Being a therapist is truly a gift and I feel privileged to help everyone who steps into my office. I believe that therapy should be a safe space that will always remain confidential. I believe that therapeutic relationships are naturally healing. And even though what we talk about is important, I know that the relationship itself does a lot of the work. I understand what it feels like to believe there's something wrong with you and to believe you are not deserving of good things. I know how hopeless it can be to desperately want something and not be able to find it.
