About My Clients
Every emotion, thought, or feeling we experience in our hearts is valid and has the potential to impact our lives. Feeling intense emotions can be difficult to process, and at times we need to seek clarity for what we are experiencing in the present moment. Everyone is unique, and everyone's story is different. I want to encourage my clients to be their authentic selves, engage in creative expression, and heal.
My Background and Approach
As a Therapist, I want to create light within my clients and provide an affirming, warm experience. I enjoy helping clients explore their gender, racial, and/or sexual identities. I believe the healing process starts when giving clients the power to give themselves a sense of encouragement and fulfillment. For me, it is important to view clients as whole people rather than a sum of parts. I enjoy bringing humor and laughter into the counseling room when appropriate. While cultivating an authentic connection, I empower my clients to create their world and help them notice certain traits within themselves that enhance their ability to make healthy changes and progress throughout our sessions.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
At the end of the day, YOU are the expert on your life and the experiences you have gone through, but I will be there for you through a collaborative approach. I am passionate about staying present in the here and now with each client while respecting your worldview and acknowledging those feelings that come with it. I am committed to providing a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients will be empowered not just to live but to thrive. My interests and specialties include mood disorders, eating disorders, general life struggles, trauma, LGBTQQIA therapy, relationships, and families experiencing poor communication or an inability to work through conflicts.
