About My Clients
I invite clients to welcome curiosity and to be willing to feel and look deeply into themselves in an effort to transform their thoughts, behaviors and beliefs. I support clients in exploring their strengths, support systems, family dynamics, and the ways in which social-cultural norms, and systems of oppression influence their life experiences. Such explorations of their past and present experiences are conducted with the client's consent, and degree of comfortability in mind.
My Background and Approach
My purpose is to create an authentic, warm, and safe environment where you can give yourself permission to be vulnerable and show up as you are. In my approach, I engage both the body and the mind by incorporating breath-work and mindfulness techniques in conjunction with traditional forms of psychodynamic therapy (talk-therapy) and EMDR therapy. I provide both individual and group therapy services that are trauma-informed and person-centered. I specialize in serving LGBTQIA+ community, survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence, and individuals who experience anxiety and depression. I was drawn to social work because its framework takes into consideration social justice, micro and macro factors that influence an individual life trajectory. I cordially invite you to coordinate a complementary consultation to explore if I can be of service to you.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
The conditions we experience and endure as human beings are meant to be dealt with in isolation; for me it’s an honor to support people through their life transitions. I consider myself a lifelong learner who is curious and invested in expanding my knowledge to be of service as a clinician. I routinely participate in personal and professional workshops, continuing education courses and other training to build on my competencies as a provider and deepen my self-development.
