About My Clients

Are you looking for diverse approaches to explore past/present traumas to minimize or prevent them from affecting your quality of life and relationships? Are you (and/or) your partner seeking highly specialized couples or sex therapy from a kink-positive, sex-positive, and queer-positive perspective? I am an identity-affirming relationship and sex therapist that focuses on inclusive, multicultural, and creative approaches for clients with diverse cultural, sexual, and trauma histories.

My Background and Approach

I am currently an Associate Marital and Family Therapist (#127002), Provisionally Registered Art Therapist, and an EMDR Clinician working towards full certification. I take a multifaceted approach to trauma counseling, relationship conflicts, & sexual issues from a perspective of open-mindedness & cultural humility. I hold three degrees including B.A. Psychology, B.A. Sociology, and a masters in Marital and Family Therapy with specialization training in Art Therapy. I have worked with adults internationally and domestically in Buenos Aires, Argentina and Los Angeles, California where I worked with trans-youth at Star View Adolescent Center from an attachment-based framework, families and school-aged children at the Helen B. Landgarten Clinic from an art therapy and systems framework, and offered bilingual therapy at Single Parents of Power Domestic Violence Counseling Agency. Today I work exclusively with trauma / identity / relationships / sex ddues in a private practice setting.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I personally believe that therapy must operate from an intersectional framework with cultural humility and deliberate anti-racism / social justice consciousness built into one's practice. The alternative is unethical, in my viewpoint. I am a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, with a multiracial "blended" family, thus multiculturalism and acculturation issues are central to me. Prior to pursuing my second bachelor's & masters in Psychology and Marital & Family Therapy (with specialization training in Art Therapy and EMDR), I first studied Sociology with a focus in historical Social Justice Movements and had the privilege of allying with those who birthed Atlanta's chapter of the Black Lives Matter movement. My approach to therapy takes a distinctively creative and multidimensional approach to issues of identity, trauma, relationships, and sexuality wherein our psychological wellbeing functions in direct correlation to the personal relationships and social systems that contextualize it.
