About My Clients
Often in life we find ourselves feeling stuck and we're not quite sure why. Left unexamined, it is hard to tell from our own perspective what exactly is going on. Therapy is about being honest with ourselves and evaluating our lives in an effort to lessen suffering and build insight into our patterns. As a clinical social worker, I excel in creating a strong client-therapist relationship that allows for the vulnerability required for healing.
My Background and Approach
I take a client-centered approach while drawing from psychodynamic and cognitive behavioral modalities to ensure a personalized approach is used to meet your needs and goals. I also strongly believe in using humor when appropriate to normalize the issues we all face as human beings. I have served a diverse range of communities, and have really enjoyed adapting and integrating to find a way I can be of most use and help. I take the same approach with clients. I deeply value getting to know the whole person. This patient approach allows me to personalize treatment approaches and move in tandem with the client as we navigate stressors and issues.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My core values include honesty, integrity, hope, and courage. I find when I give everything up and lean on those values, I am on a good path. In life, I try my best to keep an open mind and remain curious. I value knowing people from all walks of life to help inform my perspective. While not a direct member of the LGBTQ community, I strongly stand behind this community. I take pride in being socially aware and up to date on best practices for identity affirming care.
