About My Clients
Do you feel disconnected from your child? Are you longing to repair hurt and betrayal in your relationship? Are you having a hard time battling with anxiety or depression? I can help! It can be extremely overwhelming dealing with the curves life throws at you. It is imperative to have a safe, trusting and confidential place to share your emotions. Together, we will focus on those difficulties by strengthening your coping skills and learning new ways to tackle those challenges.
My Background and Approach
I hold a Master's Degree in Psychology and a Post-Master's in Marriage & Family Therapy from Kean University. My therapeutic journey started out at a non-profit organization where I provided counseling to the low-income population who suffered severe mental health illnesses as well as conflicts within their marital & familial life. When working with families, I use a family systems approach, which allows the whole family to become the identified client rather than one member of the family. My goal is to influence conversations and interactions that emphasize the well-being of the whole as a healthy unit. Along with providing marriage & family counseling, I received training in providing counseling to victims of sexual assault and domestic violence.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Therapy is an intimidating process that allows a person/persons to be vulnerable in a setting that is new to them. My goal is to help guide you through this process with the intent to strengthen your core boundaries that may have been displaced along the way.
