About My Clients
I work with a wide range of clients. I might be a good fit for you if you're curious about developing stronger, safer relationships with yourself and others, if you often feel empty or unmoored, if you're working through a transition in your life, or if you have a history of trauma.
My Background and Approach
I see hurting and growing as normal parts of being alive, not illnesses. I believe in honoring the strengths and skills you've picked up by surviving, regardless of what role you want those skills to play in your life going forward. I lead with curiosity, non-judgement, and warmth. I see the therapy room as a place to experiment. That might mean trying out a new perspective and taking it for a road test. It could also mean making space to safely feel things a person has been holding at bay and responding to that hurt in a new way. Therapy can also be a space to try a different way of communicating with and relating to someone else. Whatever it means in a given moment, I want working with me to feel like we can sit down in the sand together, roll up our sleeves, and get creative.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
It's not a sign of illness to chafe against the pressures of capitalism, white supremacy, colonization, ableism, transphobia and other oppressive systems. I believe in harm reduction and in fights for liberation. I believe connection, creativity, and community care can help us stay safe and regulated. I believe in the importance of grieving, and I believe in following the compass of what feels good and safe in our bodies.
