About My Clients
I work with those who often feel misunderstood in life, let down by others, and led to believe there is something wrong with them or that they are "too much." This often manifests as difficulties in relationships (couples, peers, parenting, families), body image issues, perfectionism, or difficulties sharing your true self. I also have expertise in working with the Queer community and provide a non-judgmental space to explore gender and sexuality.
My Background and Approach
While trained as a relational psychodynamic psychotherapist, my style draws from a variety of methodologies depending on each client's needs. For over a decade in private practice, I specialize in working with anxiety, eating disorders, borderline personality disorder, bipolar disorder, and trauma. I will be your partner in the process, identifying problematic patterns of thought and behavior, understanding what's inhibiting you in relationships, and facilitating difficult emotions. My patients would describe me as perceptive, authentic, humorous, and direct. I received my Master's in Social Work from NYU in 2010. I trained with clinicians from Callen-Lorde, Ali Forney Center, Center for Modern Psychoanalytic Studies, and Psychoanalytic Association of New York(Institute affiliated with NYU School of Medicine).
