About My Clients
Are you dealing with competing demands, feeling depleted, worried, burnt-out, and not like yourself? Maybe there are traumas under the surface that are asking to be seen-- whether from sexual abuse, feeling like it wasn't safe to be yourself growing up, or living in a patriarchal system. Maybe there are also physical, medical problems that are not yet known and treated. It can be a lot to carry. My work is to partner with you to get to the root of what is happening and co-create change.
My Background and Approach
I’m a board-certified psychiatrist based in Tucson, Arizona, an adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Arizona Department of Psychiatry, and a co-investigator on the Psilocybin for Treatment of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder research project. I’ve worked in hospital and residential settings in addition to my private practice. I grew up in northern California and went to college at UC Berkeley and medical school at Touro University California. I did my residency training in psychiatry at the University of Arizona, with specialized certification in integrative psychiatry. I have additional education in women’s mental health and psychedelic-assisted therapies.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am a feminist. I believe that the mind-body-spirit-community-environment are all an interconnected whole. I think holistically and use a carefully considered combination of psychotherapy and medications as well as advanced lab testing, lifestyle changes, natural supplements, and mind-body skills to help you to live a fuller, freer life.
