About My Clients
Art Therapy is for everybody and offers a space for those moments you can not find the words to explain your experience. Art therapy provides you with an authentic and nonjudgmental space for autonomous growth using art materials. You are invited to explore difficult emotions by using art as a supportive tool. The session is a space for you to take control of your therapeutic goals - building self awareness and insight - with the guidance and support of a professionally trained therapist.
My Background and Approach
I am experienced in working with adults of all ages, adolescents, and children. I specialize in working with clients to process grief and trauma. Initially, I started as an art teacher before going to graduate school to pursue art therapy. Before starting Rainy Day, I worked at an out-patient day center for trauma and mood disorders as the lead art therapist, eventually shifting to be a therapist at a group practice. I work alongside clients to support growth in personal and professional experiences through trauma, grief, and life transitions.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am dedicated to the work of social and economic justice, and I am committed to creating an inclusive environment. I believe that our environments directly impact our mental and physical health. I also believe that art is a powerful way of taking control, releasing, and bringing clarity to areas of our life that need it the most.
