About My Clients
No matter how hard you try, life never feels like it’s going to slow down. You feel exhausted, and tapped out. You try to mask your feelings of overwhelm from those around you to avoid feeling out of place, but that leaves you feeling disconnected and alone. Transitions including relationships, work/ school changes, family additions/ losses are difficult to navigate. I have a passion for working with individuals, couples, young adults remain true to themselves while moving through complexity.
My Background and Approach
Finding the right fit for a therapist is important and may take a few tries. I encourage you to schedule a consultation session with me so we can talk more about my clinical style. I have an eclectic approach using Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Relational Cultural, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and trauma informed. My areas of focus include: Young adults, LGBTQIA+ and women's health
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am a member of the LGBTQIA+ Community and I currently live in chicago with my wife and toddler. I am a passionate advocate for marginalized people and work to stay educated on issues happening nationally and internationally, with a strong belief that the personal is the professional. I have extensive experience as a researcher and supervisor of folks with mental health lived and living experience. In my research role I have developed expertise around suicide prevention, emerging adulthood, early psychosis work, and work with system involved youth and youth focused community mental health services.
