Accepting Clients

I provide online diagnostic evaluations for adults who suspect they might be autistic.

Psychologist in Bloomington, IN

About My Clients

The clients I evaluate in my practice were "missed" in childhood. They are high functioning (i.e., average to above average intellectual functioning, attend college or graduate school, and/or are working professionals). Although they are "high functioning," my clients suffer mightily because they are misunderstood, and many have reported feeling "different" their whole lives. Most of my clients have previously been diagnosed with a host of psychiatric conditions.

My Background and Approach

Welcome to my solo online private practice, where I specialize in evaluating neurodivergent adults. I have an intentionally small private practice because it allows me to provide individualized and exceptional client care. In addition to being a licensed psychologist, I have a special endorsement that allows me to offer online clinical services across the United States. I am also a university professor at a research institution in the Midwest, where I research psychological wellness in women and girls (and people identified as female at birth) who are high functioning and autistic.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I approach my clinical work, including psychological evaluations from various theoretical orientations that have shaped my lived experience, including: feminist theory (the personal is political), multicultural orientation (culture matters), existential psychology (we all suffer), cognitive behavioral therapy (thoughts matter), intersectionality theory (identity matters) and liberation psychology/theology.

I offer online counseling in the following states:
