Empowering LGBTQ, Neurodivergent Women & Teens to Embrace Their Authentic Selves

Addictions Counselor in Rockville, MD
Supervised by Olya Rich, LPC

About My Clients

I work with bright, sensitive souls - neurodivergent women and teen girls who experience the world deeply and intensely. My clients often feel overwhelmed by sensory input and struggle with executive functioning in a world that isn't designed for their way of processing. Many identify as LGBTQ+ and are looking for a space where both their neurodivergence and identity are fully embraced and understood.

My Background and Approach

As someone who has navigated both the structured world of technology leadership and the deeply human experience of mental health support, I bring a unique blend of systematic thinking and heartfelt compassion to my therapeutic practice. My background in building and nurturing teams, combined with my counseling training and volunteer work with diverse communities, has taught me that there's no one-size-fits-all approach to personal growth. I specialize in working with neurodivergent individuals, creating a warm, accepting space where your unique way of experiencing the world is celebrated rather than viewed as something to "fix." Drawing from CBT and ACT frameworks, I'll help you develop practical strategies for managing anxiety, sensory overwhelm, and executive functioning challenges while honoring your natural processing style. My approach is collaborative and patient-centered, informed by my experience as a Trevor Project crisis counselor and peer counselor at Whitman Walker Clinic.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe in creating a therapeutic space where every aspect of your identity is welcomed and celebrated. As a volunteer crisis counselor with The Trevor Project and peer counselor at Whitman Walker Clinic, I've developed a deep commitment to supporting LGBTQ+ individuals through life's challenges. My volunteer work extends to teaching pottery at Bowman House, where I've witnessed the healing power of creative expression and community connection. My journey from technology leadership to mental health counseling reflects my core belief that everyone deserves support in becoming their most authentic self. I'm particularly passionate about neurodiversity advocacy, viewing neurodivergent traits as unique strengths rather than limitations. Through my work with the Human Rights Campaign, I actively support efforts to create a more inclusive and accepting world. Whether you're exploring your neurodivergent identity, processing life transitions, or seeking a space where all parts of yourself a
