About My Clients
I’ve worked in community mental health for over 6 years specializing in working with survivors of sexual assault and/or abuse. While working in the field of sexual trauma has been my speciality, I also have experience in working with survivors of domestic violence, individuals struggling with generalized anxiety and depression, and early childhood/attachment trauma. I enjoy working with individuals from a variety of ages, personalities, and lifestyles.
My Background and Approach
“For once we begin to feel deeply all the aspects of our lives, we begin to demand from ourselves and from our life pursuits that they feel in accordance with that joy we know ourselves to be capable of.” ***Audre Lorde*** I operate from an intersectional, relational, feminist lens and incorporate a variety of modalities in my practice, such as cognitive behavioral therapy, cognitive processing therapy, somatics, and emotion focused therapy. Additionally, as a Taiwanese-Japanese American, born here in Seattle, but raised by immigrant parents, I bring a strong cultural lens to my work that considers how historical trauma and migration can also be part of our story. An anti-oppression framework is also central to my approach, as it is very important to consider our intersecting identities and how systems of oppression can play a role in our mental health.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Choosing to care for ourselves is a radical act of self love, essential for liberation. Healing is possible, and I thank you for considering me as someone that can accompany you on your journey of healing. I offer free 20min Telehealth consultations for you to assess if I might be the right fit for you. I enjoy working with individuals from a variety of ages, personalities, and lifestyles. I operate from a sex positive framework, I am kink friendly and polyamorous friendly. I also enjoy working with folks from BIPOC and LGBTQ+ communities as well as folks that are involved in movement building & organizing.
