About My Clients
My clients are women looking to better manage stress and anxiety due to the chaos of juggling the ongoing and ever changing demands in their personal and professional lives. They are seeking a space where they can feel safe to be vulnerable, navigate harmful thought patterns and difficult emotions, and learn effective coping strategies along the way.
My Background and Approach
As a two-time HBCU grad with a BA in Psychology from Spelman College, and PhD in Clinical Psychology from Howard University, I am very passionate about Black mental health. I completed a nationally accredited pre-doctoral internship at Allegheny General Hospital and postdoctoral residency at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. I have clinical experience working in a variety of settings (e.g., hospitals, outpatient clinics, mental health startups), as well as with specialized populations including individuals with eating disorders and developmental difficulties like Autism and ADHD. I specialize in using evidence-based practices from CBT, DBT, and mindfulness based theories to help explore difficult emotions, harmful thought patterns, and to better manage stress and anxiety.
