About My Clients
I specialize in issues that disproportionately affect communities of color, disabled communities, marginalized genders, the seropositive community, and the LGBTQIA+ community, I welcome anyone that thinks I would suit their therapeutic needs. I am also kink, polyamorous, and sex work affirming.
My Background and Approach
Using the biopsychosocial, sociocultural, and other systemic models focusing on intersectionality and inclusivity, I collaborate with clients to help them gain improved insight, healthy boundaries, and empowerment in an affirming and judgment-free environment. Graduating with a Masters in Rehabilitation Mental Health Counseling and a graduate certificate in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of South Florida, I work with adult individuals and partners to provide tools to alleviate stress, anxiety, depression, and to help improve communication.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I know that therapy works because I have had the privilege of sitting on the couch and seeing incremental, but significant improvements in my life because of therapy. As a Black and Afro-Latina queer woman, I am passionate about working to make sure that my therapy centers marginalized communities and holds space for the oppression that is a daily lived experience for my clients. When I am away from the office, I enjoy spending time advocating for my communities and those of my clients. I also enjoy gaming (video and tabletop), reading, baking, and learning languages.
