About My Clients
My goal for therapy is to provide a nonjudgmental, validating, and genuine space to help clients navigate life transitions, depression, anxiety, trauma, & more. I work with teens and adults, and I especially enjoy working with the LGBTQIA+ population and working with folks on perfectionism, self-esteem issues, burnout, and emotion dysregulation.
My Background and Approach
I received my Master of Social Work from the Brown School at Washington University in St. Louis, with an emphasis on mental health and sexual health/education. I completed my internship working with new parents at a hospital, providing mental health education/prevention services and counseling parents with NICU babies. Postgrad, I worked in a comprehensive DBT program, providing individual and group therapy for teens and adults struggling with depression, anxiety, bpd, and harmful/life-threatening behaviors. My therapy approach incorporates a variety of evidence-based practices, including a focus on cognitive behavior therapy, DBT skills, self-compassion, and mindfulness.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a clinician trained in the social work lens, I view people as holistic, with consideration to identities, environment, and intersectionality. Both professionally and personally, I integrate conversations around systemic oppression and privilege. I am committed to lifelong education and consultation to grow, learn, and provide sex-positive, neurodivergent-affirming, body neutral/positive, anti-racist, LGBTQIA+ affirming, & trauma-informed therapy.
