About My Clients
I aim to foster a safe, supportive space to partner with clients in their healing process. Many people who partner with me are survivors of trauma, seeking support regarding reproduction (i.e. abortion, miscarriage, birth trauma, postpartum challenges, and parenting), feeling stuck in anxiety and shame, and/or looking for ways to build self-compassion while caring for others.
My Background and Approach
I have over a decade of clinical experience working with individuals and families. I have training in evidence-based trauma treatments for trauma, grief/loss, anxiety, and depression. I also have specialized training in perinatal mental health, and I am currently seeking certification in Perinatal Mental Health. I offer therapy in English and Spanish. I provide training and clinical supervision on trauma- and resilience-informed care and secondary traumatic stress to communities across the state of North Carolina.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My practice acknowledges the impact of systemic oppression and intergenerational trauma on individuals and communities. Antiracist and LGBTQIA+ affirming therapy is an ongoing practice, and it’s one that I engage with through participation in social movements and ongoing self-education. I support BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, immigrant, reproductive justice, worker, and feminist liberation movements.
