About My Clients
My primary experience has been with survivors of domestic violence, intimate partner violence, and sexual assault. That said, I have much experience with individuals who have felt that previous therapists labeled their distress but did not support their healing, folks in the LGBTQIAP+ community, and individuals who identify as BIPOC. I am also excited to work with folks who identify as anti-racist, anti-capitalist, or who struggle with climate grief.
My Background and Approach
I view therapy as a collaboration in exploration of the self and the world around us, and believe that having safe, affirming, and non-pathologizing space to discuss the ways our health is impacted by the various systems of oppression we face as individuals and members of our respective communities is essential in therapeutic practice. I approach each client as the unique individual they are with empathy and compassion, and tailor my eclectic approach to each client, and even each session.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am LGBTQIAP+, kink, polyamory, ethical non-monogamy, and sex work affirming in my practice. I identify as a queer, mixed ethnicity MENA individual, and have felt called to be a therapist due to my own lived experiences inhabiting these and other identities. I have also been vegetarian for over 15 years and am vegan/vegetarian allied. I support BLM and other movements and actions for liberation. In my free time, I enjoy all things music, spending time outside, and tabletop gaming.
