About My Clients
I value and implement empathy, inclusivity in my practice. Throughout my time as a psychotherapist I have provided support to clients whom have experienced trauma, anxiety, depression, homelessness and discrimination.
My Background and Approach
Due to living a life full of varied experiences, I am able to relate to my client’s unique requests while providing culturally sensitive care for their specific needs. My passion and empathy to help others has always been my guide to provide best services to my clients. During my tenure in the field of social services , I have supported many individuals from diverse backgrounds and practiced in variety of settings including Advocacy Programs, Residential, Non-Profit Agencies, Government Agencies, College as well as private practice setting. My clinical experiences have provided me with the opportunity to work through the most challenging cases, while applying a comprehensive and culturally appropriate approach. Additionally, as a bilingual therapist, fluent in English and Farsi, I understand the importance of multicultural sensitivity during treatment. I am, therefore, proud to provide psychotherapy services to the Farsi speaking community as well.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I value relationships, empathy, inclusivity, adventure and trust and constantly work on letting that be the guiding light of my practice. I also strongly believe that a successful therapeutic relationship is formed when we can relate to each other as humans! So here are a few things about me. From what I have been told, I am a pretty laid back, funny and easy going person. I love to watch TV, cook and go on adventures and you would see my clients and I discuss these topics (when appropriate and therapeutically beneficial) as a way to connect with my clients even further!
