About My Clients
A significant part of my work has revolved around helping individuals who have experienced abuse in relationships. For the past 4 years, I have worked primarily with people living with HIV, and the LGBTQ+ community providing individual counseling. I work with people who have faced trauma in their lifetime. The people that come to see me may be struggling with emotions, self-esteem, and coping. They want a safe space to share, tools to manage, and a path to rebuild.
My Background and Approach
My training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy has allowed me to effectively process trauma, giving my clients a path to healing they might not have known existed. Each persons uniqueness deserves an approach that meets their specific needs and goals. I understand that opening up can be daunting. Building a foundation of trust is essential to our work together. This therapeutic journey is a collaborative one, where we'll work side by side to help you navigate challenges, learn effective coping strategies, and discover the resilience within you.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am genuinely passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of others, and I continue to stay informed about the latest research and evidence-based practices to provide the most effective care possible. Helping my clients find their inner strength and resilience is what inspires me every day, and I am grateful for the opportunity to be part of their journeys towards healing and empowerment.
