About My Clients

My goal is to make therapy collaborative. My favorite moments in therapy are when we get to find a creative solution or new perspective that didn't exist before. Solving problems is just half the equation. I hope that once we minimize the stressful things we can focus on enhancing the areas of your life that you love. I very strongly believe a discovery of & connection to our values is a large part of what creates lasting change.

My Background and Approach

Scott takes an integrative approach to therapy utilizing Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy, and Psychodynamic techniques. Scott has experience helping clients with a range of topics including, but not limited to: depression, anxiety, loss, self-esteem, identity development, maintaining healthy relationships, and navigating life transitions. Scott is currently an adjunct lecturer at CUNY's Hunter College, teaching Counseling Skills and Lifespan Development. He is also passionate about engaging in social justice work. Scott currently sits on the panel of facilitators for (Re)Defining Power: Exploring the White Male Voice in Diversity Work, an annual conference with the goal of providing young white men with language and tools to fight for racial and gender equity.
