About My Clients

Are you seeking individual therapy? If so, we may be a good fit if you're feeling overwhelmed, overworked, and/or like you’re carrying a ton of responsibility. Perhaps others describe you as resilient and you’d like to actually feel that way more often. I get it. You may also be wondering whether trauma has something to do with your situation, but you’re not sure where to start. I’m so glad you’re here. Therapy can help you grow more confident, feel more alive and vibrant.

My Background and Approach

For the past 15 years, my work has focused on how people can heal from trauma. We are all hardwired for connection, and sometimes smaller parts of us learn that it’s just not safe to be embodied as our full authentic selves. My approach involves strengthening resources that already exist within people so that they feel more prepared to address past wounds and heal present pain. We will go at your pace. I am trained in several modalities which I integrate, including EMDR, family systems, somatic work, and Ego states therapy. We will work together to tailor an approach that suits your needs. Although I've worked in the past with both couples and families, my practice now is focused on supporting individual clients only.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe every person deserves to have access to quality mental health support. It takes courage to show up and ask for help, and I strive to walk with you authentically. I value compassion, humor, learning, and collaboration in the therapeutic relationship. While I am not an expert on anti-oppression or antiracism, I continually study this area and reflect on how my actions can uplift work that is already being done to interrupt racism and systemic inequity. I recognize that I am always learning in my relationships and approach therapy with the same drive to disrupt my own old ways of thinking. I also believe in the innate wisdom and adaptability of our body minds. I unapologetically see a therapist to do my own work and support my nervous system. I am married. I geek out over composting, plants, & trivia. Moving outside is my favorite- hiking, qigong, and biking with my kid. If you’d like to schedule a consultation with me to see if we would be a good fit, please send me an email.
