About My Clients
In my practice I work with individuals (ages 16 and older ) and couples, with varying life experiences and needs. Specializing in treating anxiety, depression, trauma, and general life stressors and transitions. I strive to create a safe space that is respectful, authentic, accepting, and compassionate . I believe that building a strong therapeutic relationship is the foundation to treatment engagement and progress.
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, working for over 20 years in a wide variety of settings with adolescents, adults, families, and couples. I am currently providing individual and couples therapy in private practice via Telehealth. My approach to treatment encompasses the understanding that the systems we are a part of both past and present impact how we feel, interact, and respond to life's transitions, challenges, and successes. I use an integrative, strength-based approach based on the individual’s or couple’s goals and needs. Using treatment modalities such as CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused, and Family Systems. My hope is to encourage new perspectives and insights that will facilitate change, improve well-being, and create a higher quality of life.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Reaching out and asking for help and support is a vulnerable and brave step. As a therapist, I strive to provide and create a safe, warm, and welcoming space that fosters and encourages vulnerability and growth. I believe that the therapist/client relationship and rapport are the foundations of treatment which make change possible. My role is to be a support and guide in your journey to improve your sense of well-being and quality of life.
