About My Clients
I am passionate about working with folks across all walks of life. However, my clinical experience has given me strong experience working with members of the South Asian community, college students, immigrants, children of immigrants, early career professionals, and those pursuing therapy for the first time. Additionally, I have worked closely with clients who are professionals in the medical field, tech industry, and women and non-binary folk working in male dominated corporate industries.
My Background and Approach
Mental health is as important and intimately tied to your physical health. Our brain is an organ like any other organ in the body and sometimes the mind body connection can become dysregulated. My approach to therapy is holistic, process-oriented and emotion-focused. We will work on understanding how you view yourself, how you view others, and your worldview. We will understand your needs as layered- we will keep peeling back layers to understand why you think, feel, and behave the way you do. Often the distress we feel can be a sign of unmet needs. In order to understand this, we may also look at early life and past experiences. Your presenting concerns will always be understood in the context of your environment- your culture, your identities, faith, and larger systemic influences which may be out of your control. Interventions are uniquely designed for each person, but having a strong connection, feeling understood, and building a trusting relationship will be most important.
