About My Clients
My practice focuses largely on supporting those navigating finding their voice in a system that would rather they stay silent, including women, trans/nonbinary folks, and folks in queer and BIPOC communities. I specialize in working with people in the helping professions such as therapists, organizers, healers, teachers, healthcare workers etc.
My Background and Approach
I chose to become a therapist because I believe the most precious and valuable part of the human experience is meaningful connection. We need love and connection to thrive. Unfortunately, many of us have experiences that keep us from having the healthy relationships we want with ourselves and with others. I also believe that many of the systems we exist in are designed to keep us from living our most connected and authentic lives. I engage in treatment through the combined lenses of EMDR, Internal Family Systems, Self-Compassion Training, and the neurobiology of trauma and attachment. Therapy helps to rewire unhelpful beliefs, gives us the tools to navigate relationships more effectively, and supports finding ultimate peace within ourselves. Most importantly, it is important that you feel and know that I am deeply invested in learning you, supporting you, and growing with you.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that the therapeutic relationship is the greatest tool in the therapy room. I am committed to equity, humility, learning, adventure, humor, and compassion. I believe that humans have the ability to change and grow throughout their lifespan- we are not stagnant. I have a deep reverence for the wise ways people survive. You are your own expert- I will never pretend that I am an expert in you. I collaborate with you to unearth and follow your innate knowing and support you to have greater access to yourself-- to your body, your deep wisdom, and your wholeness.
