My Background and Approach

Stephanie has worked in a variety of practice settings within the behavioral health and child welfare systems. Her work has involved building a program for individuals entering young adulthood, supporting clients working towards wellness in a residential setting, training and supporting foster parents and kinship providers, and providing therapy to individuals. She completed her bachelor’s degree in Family Studies & Human Development at the University of Arizona. Stephanie earned her Master’s in Social Work with a focus on Policy, Administration, and Community Practice.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

Stephanie has developed a training curriculum for behavioral health agencies to implement Cognitive Enhancement Training. Stephanie has provided training in Motivational Interviewing, and supervision to the Arizona State University Center for Applied Behavioral Health Policy’s Motivational Interviewing coding lab MI coaches. Stephanie is a member of the international group Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers (MINT) and a certified trainer in the Community Resiliency Model (CRM). I have a teaching spirit and thoroughly enjoy engaging individuals and drawing out their strengths. I offer the ability to hold space for difficult processes, and I promote a practice of building wellness and helpful perspective to improve overall well-being. My own personal beliefs hold that we all have value and can be loved for who we are.
